This is one of my teammates. So pissed right now.

You should never make fun of someone slower than you. When I hear someone doing it, I honestly feel like slapping them in the face. Not everybody is blessed with a natural swimming ability and knocking someone down for trying despite the fact they’re not gifted in the sport is atrocious. They’re doing the exact same set as you and are trying their damnest to keep up with the group. Who cares if they’re struggling or can’t keep up with the cycles. Their performance does not affect you, so there’s really no need to dwell on them during your session. Afterwards, treat them like you would anybody else! Give them words of encouragment and be genuinly friendly. The last thing a slower person wants is the ‘ol “Couldn’t quite keep up, eh?” speech. -teenswimmer
